Ian was very secretive about Christine at first. We went to school with Ian and his sister/best-woman Megan, so we already knew what a great family they are. When we finally got to meet the elusive Miss-Right, it was clear that she fit into this picture perfectly!
While Ian and Megan frantically assembled themselves into their kilts and adornments, Christine calmly sipped champagne while she prepared to walk down the aisle. The guests all looked very sharp as they arrived at Makiti, and it was a privilege to already know many of them. By this stage we all felt like we were melting, and it was quite a relief to escape the heat for the I do’s!
We finished off the family and couple pictures while the sun set over a gorgeous background, and welcomed the evening of festivities. Tears were shed during the heartfelt speeches and amazing first dance. The couple even cut the cake using a sword that looked like something out of a Lord of the Rings movie!
It wasn’t long before the best-woman led the way onto the dance floor, and the rest is a tartan blur…
