Nadia’s Soulmate is a Dog

Meet Nadia, owned by Draco, the 8 month-young Labrador.  This was his first shoot – he made Nadia work very hard for some ‘stays’, but they both did so well.  Read Nadia’s t-shirt for the rest of their story – ‘99% sure my soulmate is a dog’.   By Leanne Williams.

Renee’s Pack

Renee is one of the best dog handlers I’ve met.  She instructs at Canine Performance Centre in Midrand, and competed at the 2018 Agility World Champs.  She booked a studio shoot with her dogs, Savvy, Stardust and Sayde to show off some of their prizes and sponsors. By Leanne Williams.

Sonja’s Beautiful Family

Meet Sonja’s beautiful family.  She, her hubby and their many many floofs welcomed their very long-anticipated baby boy, Chris!  Baby Chris wasn’t too enthusiastic about posing, and kept us quite busy for a good few hours, but Sonja was so chilled and easy going about it you’d swear she’d been doing this for years.  True to her relaxed parenting style, she wanted authentic lifestyle portraits with natural light.  Of course, the dogs got a little time… Continue reading

Melissa’s Pack

Melissa’s pack of Border Collies includes spirited Esca, goofy Kadin, and old man Shay.  Melissa’s dad and niece joined the shoot to help with the dogs.  You know it’s serious stuff when Melissa almost wears shoes for the first 5 minutes of the shoot!  By Leanne Williams.

Oh, and the horse is in training to be bit-less, so there will be no bridle or any other physical way to control him.’  Plus, Ansi loves vivid colour, and the day we scheduled the shoot was dreary… Continue reading

Wendy and Her Dogs

Meet Bigs, Titan and Casper, and Littles, Keiko and Trixie.  And their elegant, loving mom, Wendy.  These beauties were shot at their home at sunset.  The dogs were so funny!  SO. MUCH. CHARACTER!
