Supremely dedicated, fit, energetic grandparents, Marleen and Guido, treated their three grandchildren to an adventure photo shoot at Reefsteamers in Germiston. As with their previous annual family shoots, they allowed the kids to play, explore and get dirty, and made a special request for the ‘real’ photos – documentary photography – our absolute favourite. The three little Crazies found areas in Reefsteamers that we didn’t know existed, including a series of underground tunnels used to service the trains. We managed to wrangle the kids into a handful of posed Fine Art and Lifestyle Portraits too. Marleen packed us a delicious picnic lunch to make an outing of it. It wouldn’t be a Staessen shoot without little Bella taking a tumble, but thank goodness she waited until the end of the day, unlike last time when she fell and bumped her head before we had started shooting.
