Five AM Family Fun
Two weird things happened on this shoot. The first is that my very old friend from primary school, Rela, was awake and beautified at 5 am! The second is that Keegan, who I first met when he was about 10 years old, is now taller than his dad. The Staessens Clean Up with Coastal Ghost
The Staessens shoots are always mini adventures. But this year’s resulted in the weirdest, most out-of-character client brief I have ever given. It read something like: “Dear Staessen Family, Let’s meet at a dirty, busy, public park, mid-afternoon while the sun is still high (and the light is harsh), at the end of winter (while it is still dry and cold). Cutie Kai
Remember Shenaaz and Stephen’s Maternity Photos? This little cutie named Kai was an absolute pleasure to shoot. He was soooo relaxed and happy and sleepy. We scheduled went to his home and moved some furniture around to take advantage of some soft window light. The Kotze Family have welcomed little Adam! We did Tilly-Marie’s newborn photos in the same room a few short years ago, and I can’t believe how much she and Derick have grown up already.

The Kotze Family is Growing
Liezl and Martin have given us quite an extraordinary journey to document, from their engagement party, to their wedding, to their first pregnancy, to the view from their roof to use as home decor, to family functions with the extended family, to their second pregnancy and Tilly-Marie’s newborn photos, and now they are expecting their third child!
