Snapdragon Sibes in Studio

I’m not a fan of selfies.  But we missed our annual family pawtrait shoot in 2015, and my poor ginger puppy Simon hardly has any photos of his puppyhood.  (Typical third child!)  I also wanted to get some pics of the floating trophies we won at our dog school before they have to be returned.  But Sean was too fully booked to help me.  So I, alone, headed to the studio with three freshly groomed… Continue reading

Ricky and Kate’s Wedding

‘The only modern thing about me today is my mouth!’ giggled the vivacious Kate as she was being strapped into her phenomenal wedding gown.  Killarney Country Club hosted this beautiful, vintage, Jewish Wedding.   We love couple’s who aren’t afraid to have fun with their photos, and Kate and Ricky didn’t disappoint us – we were treated to beautiful romantic moments as well as hysterical moments that only they could pull off!  The day was a blur… Continue reading

Sibu’s Baby Shower

In anticipation of the arrival of her second child, a baby boy, Sibu hosted a sophisticated vintage-themed Baby Shower Luncheon at Acorn Lane in Sandton.  Precious Celebrations made it beautiful and ensured that things ran smoothly.  Sibu seemed relaxed, happy, and was glowing in her dusty pink dress.  Soon-to-be-big-sister Hlumie charmed the guests with her huge smiles all day, her warm hugs and her insistence on helping her mom open gifts.  She was also treated to… Continue reading

Ian and Christine’s Wedding

Ian was very secretive about Christine at first. We went to school with Ian and his sister/best-woman Megan, so we already knew what a great family they are. When we finally got to meet the elusive Miss-Right, it was clear that she fit into this picture perfectly!

While Ian and Megan frantically assembled themselves into their kilts and adornments, Christine calmly sipped champagne while she prepared to walk down the aisle. The guests all looked very sharp as they arrived… Continue reading

Andrew and Gerhard’s Wedding

Andrew and Gerhard chose Valverde Eco Hotel for their classy black and white themed wedding.  They looked so suave in their crisp white suites which they got on their recent trip to Thailand.   They did something completely unique – they complained that their bar tab was ‘dismal’ and encouraged guests to work on that, which they did, giving us the best dancing moments to capture!  They also did something incredibly selfless – they asked their guests… Continue reading

The West Family at Reefsteamers

The West Family is scattered across the country and doesn’t get together very often.  They managed to find one day this year where they were all in Johannesburg at the same time!  So of course, a family photo shoot was necessary!  Reefsteamers in Germiston is one of my favourite places.  It’s fun and full of history so there are lots of distractions for the camera-shy, and all those pretty colours and textures give us so much… Continue reading
