Dean, Alice and their smiley 6-month-old Nathan did some lifestyle portraits to practice for their wedding, which is to be held at the Moon and Sixpence in September next year. Sean joined us to help with the off camera flash and to spend some time getting to know them since he’ll be shooting their wedding video. Two of Dean and Alice’s friends joined us to help with Nathan, and they provided incredible funny faces, rapping and dancing to get Nathan and his parents to laugh. The family wore formal red to match their chosen wedding colours, which gave awesome stark contrast to the fresh spring greens and earthy location. Nathan was great. Such a little poser. (provided his tummy was full!) He seemed to love the flash. Very cool! Very unusual! Dean and Alice were the complete opposite! Lots of blinks and very nervous about posing, so they gave us complete artistic license to play with light and experiment. It was a really fun, relaxed afternoon, and by the end of the shoot Dean and Alice were almost as happy to pose as Nathan, and clearly way more relaxed in front of the camera.
