The Sander Girls’ Family Outing

Take one mom, her three daughters, two husbands, one grandson and three granddaughters. Let them loose into the huge playground that is the Walter Sisulu Botanic Gardens. Add one photographer. Here are the results. I love true, real, fun family footage of everyone relaxing together and being themselves. The family styled the shoot, and released one of their red balloons in memory of Mrs Sanders late husband, the girls’ dad.  After a lovely morning of playing in the… Continue reading

New Visa Offices in Sandton

Some lucky staff were treated to a tour and presentation of their new offices and  Currin’t Events commissioned me to cover the photography.  We met near the Gautrain in Sandton, added protective construction hats, and braved the stairs on foot to their 7th floor.  After touring the new space, the staff were treated to a very welcome drink and some snacks at the Radisson Blu Gautrain Hotel,  while watching a presentation on the interior design of… Continue reading

Rekha and Navin’s Home Wedding

Rekha and Navin had a really lovely, intimate wedding at their home.   Their families helped them setup the tables and decor, and catered a delicious celebratory feast.  The Rose-Red theme suited their elegant home beautifully.  Navin and Rekha are NOT keen on posing for photographs –  Their family and their guests were most important to this couple, so there aren’t many photos of the two of them alone.  Rekha kept saying  ‘ok that’s… Continue reading

Taryn & Jason’s Wedding

Taryn and Jason are a lovely couple and we got along beautifully with them from the moment they walked into our office to meet us.  They have very similar taste in music to us, which Sean loved for the video edit.  Their wedding was absolutely beautiful, elegant, romantic, and so elaborate that the guests compared it to a royal wedding.  We laughed and laughed at Jason trying to write his speech during the couple photo session. … Continue reading

Taryn & Jason’s Couple Shoot

Taryn and Jason’s wedding is fast approaching! I suggested that we do their engagement shoot straight after Taryn’s make-up trial and Dawn Williams did a fabulous job at reducing my airbrushing-time! Taryn’s make-up was superb, dramatic and fun, just like her! Jason had a work emergency which left us little time for the shoot, so Sean, who had come with to discuss the details of their wedding video, offered to shoot a second angle (once I’d bribed him with Sushi)… Continue reading

Dean, Alice & Nathan

Dean, Alice and their smiley 6-month-old Nathan did some lifestyle portraits to practice for their wedding, which is to be held at the Moon and Sixpence in September next year.  Sean joined us to help with the off camera flash and to spend some time getting to know them since he’ll be shooting their wedding video.  Two of Dean and Alice’s friends joined us to help with Nathan, and they provided incredible funny faces, rapping and dancing to… Continue reading
