Lara and I studied Fine Arts together at Wits, and despite our very different backgrounds, we became study-buddies and helped each other with notes and research and information when the other had bunked a class in order to work our respective student-jobs. I remember occasionally bunking a class together to go for a leisurely cup of tea at the nearest canteen where would chat about our boyfriend-related woes. During that time, it seemed impossible that we would ever… Continue reading
Jon and Lauren hosted a beautiful coral, grey and teal themed wedding at Oakfield Farm. Their guests were as lively as their colour scheme and were kept well entertained with Jiant Jenga, Croquet, Wedding Cheese Cake, and Snapdragon Selfie Studio. That gave us the opportunity to sneak away for their couple-photos where we were treated to easy laughter, genuine love and lovely Lauren. Jon did quite well too. ;-P Their reception hall was absolutely beautifully… Continue reading
As wedding cameramen, we usually deal with the bride while the groom stays fairly uninvolved. Michael and Allison were the complete opposite. Michael planned everything right down to the pink and purple Love-Bird theme. Their theme suited them perfectly: an old fashioned wedding gown that complimented Megan’s colouring beautifully, the ox-wagons, vintage African decor and amazing natural landscape of Askari Game Lodge, and the rescued and trained elephants. The couple and their families paid exquisite attention to the smaller details of… Continue reading
We popped in to Fred and Allison’s home this evening for a quick shot for them to use as their Save-The-Dates. I couldn’t resist shooting some candids of them writing on each other – lots of giggling and teasing going on! We had a cup of coffee with them and went through some of the details for their wedding, and while we were chatting, Fred and Alli’s four little dogs also demanded some lens… Continue reading
This lovely couple and I met at one of the recent Marriage Meander Journeys. They won the lucky draw for a free couple’s shoot. We went to the Walter Sisulu Botanic Gardens and spent a couple of hours exploring the flora and experimenting with poses to practice for their wedding photos. They were sweet and shy in front of the camera, but their love is easy and I have no doubt tbat their marriage will be… Continue reading
